“I had enough! I can stand this anymore! If it s not my work, is my boss, if not is my wife even when i try to escape all this and i go outside my neighbor is there. I cannot have any peace, they are messing my mind.“
So we say to this person:
“it is ok, you just come and stay here with us. You ll have a special room, next to nature, no sound just the birds and exotic animals, and we ll keep away all this people bothering you. From time to time, we ll come visit you to bring you food, but if you’re not joyous by yourself J you will get no food. Just you alone in a room fresh air near the forest, nature around, let us see how much time it takes you, until you go crazy J”
Just be alone and you ll go crazy. The thing is, you cannot handle yourself and you blame it on everyone else. The problem is just this: you never payed enough attention to this one (pointing at the body).
You use it at a very low percentage “Food, work, reproduce” and every day you just enhance all this activities, bringing more comfort to any of them. A car, a better home, a better husband, better tv, better work, better food. From time to time a little vacation when you get sick of everything just to keep you distracted so you can continue back on the path you where before. But not too much vacation because you ll get crazy there too.
Is this life is all about? There is no problem if you want to live this life, it is just that is limited.
You re no better than a worm, he is doing the same thing or any animal. And they are
performing this activity a lot better than you, you just eat 2 kg of food max, they are eating 10 times their body weight. Some of them make love for hours and sleep for a half a year and plus they are a lot smarter, they don t work.
There was a study done a few years ago in india, on the mobile phone, not the smartphone, but the dumbphone, and they have discovered that more than 97% of the people they were using only 7% of their phone capabilities. So slowly they start taking pieces and erasing software, now there where some complaints but they could handle 3% complaints.
It is always a small percentage of population that complain. But they ll get some bonuses, some fancy posts, something-something to keep them in a “shut up” mode. So they take your brain and mental health, with alcohol, foods, drugs, pesticides, tv, schools, food whatever is needed.
It is ok you don t use it anyway.
So why is yoga so important?
In the 60 there was this kind of tv with an antenna J sometimes you will get some blurry lines or a black screen. So you go on the rooftop and adjust this aluminum tubes in a correct line, and the whole world will pour into your tv.
Well we are doing the same thing. Just changing adjusting the body so we can download the whole universe. If we would only sit right, just a straight spine. So we don’t interrupt this transmission and have the attention on the transmission.
Tremendous change!
Yes it will take some time. Already just watching 1 tv show is taking your whole life.
Now you see, the universe is infinite. So we change the positions, to change the channels and the more we stay in one, the more “packages” we download.
But imagine this, like you would plant a seed into the earth(body), the information will grow and you ll have you re results. Don’t overdo it, just with some love and water, the plants will slowly grow, love and patience…
Between a chimpanzee and a human, physically there is only 1.23% difference, but as intelligence, awareness, a great difference. So if that much difference for 1.23 %, what it means is, that if we just adjust this body and the mind a little we may become Buddha, or let us not settle with that! …… better a mystic, or a god.
Is not that the workplace that is stressful, nor the workload, it’s just that you are overthinking.
Instead of focusing your attention on what needs to be done now, in this right moment, you are thinking in advance: “how much you have to do, how you are working and other people don’t…how they have a bigger salary, how someone is smoking and you’re sitting there doing all the work….”
This is, what is stressing you, not the actual work. You can make your work a spiritual process. Lose yourself into a 8h meditation. All the attention is on what you are doing, and giving your best, to that moment, not thinking at what others do, not comparing, just doing your work.
Those 8 h will transform in such a short time, and you will enjoy it. Because when you re focused on something, when you re engaged into an activity, time and space just disappear.
Working is just another form of yoga.
When we talk about yoga we don t refer to a certain activity but more of a state, you are in yoga, you are in union, all inclusive.
You are everything there is to be.
My teacher used to say God is more present in kicking a ball, in a football game that it may be in a church. Because to kick a ball, you need a lot of attention; to give it an angle, to calculate the wind, how much speed, what is the other player going to see, you become that kick!
All you attention and focus has to be there in order for it to work.
I just remember the moment in the bible with Moses and the burning bush:
13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”
14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.[c] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”
I am who I am…I am that I am…I am this and that..i am everything there is to be…”I am…”
For me the physical form of yoga, asanas are just a mean to take your attention and to make you become and feel a posture. Instead of identifying yourself with a body, you evolve into a feeling and reduce your identification with your body.
From there you move to your mind, but even that becomes something that you own, not what you are, you say “My mind” so it must be something that you own and use.
Later you understand and become what you really are, something that cannot be named or defined, because “you” can be everything you want, you just put your attention on something, focus and become that.
But to experience “God” your attention should be on your attention.
Consciousness observing itself
When you sleep you’re gone, the absence of your attention is “death”.The body is still there, but “you” that energy, that awareness has disappeared.Without that attention, the body has no longer any meaning you can keep it alive, but without the person occupying it is worthless.
An unoccupied body has no value, all you can do is to give it back to nature, it was borrowed from earth.
Since the first day you have come here, you took from earth something and put it somewhere else, it comes a time when you have to give it all back.
You came empty handed and will leave like that, you can only take with you your awareness.
Increases your awareness, from becoming one thing, that IS limited, an infinitely small fraction of what god is, to become all inclusive, everywhere, in everything, to identify yourself with god.
Every time you have undisturbed attention towards something you become that thing even for a second. You see somebody drinking a coffee, you almost feel the taste in your mouth, you see somebody hugging another, you almost feel that feeling, objects and actions, you experience them in a small percentage, just by looking, just by imagining, just by recreating it in your mind.You can lose yourself into singing, working, moving, breathing, painting, wherever you put your attention on.
And times just fly, the whole dimension of time and space, is distortioned ,all there is, an undisturbed attention, you will find “peace of mind” and joy in what you do, experience bliss.
All you learn is to become more aware and instead of making it accidental, transform it and cultivate it so it happens at will.
Unhappiness comes from the moment you limit yourself and you say you are something, you can enjoy something for a moment, but your soul wants expansion, wants to be something more.
Don’t define yourself, don’t limit yourself to something, because you can never settle for something else than everything. And to become everything, first you have to reduce it all to nothing.
If you are willingly and consciously, becoming whatever you want to be with no feeling of judgment or analyze, you, as a cosmos, experiencing all the creation and more, everything there is, Experiencing yourself and with it, the creator that is in you.
No likes or dislikes attached to the intention or focus, no feelings, just awareness.
Nor crying or laughing independently, but both at the same time; that is ecstasy.
Melancholy and happiness …. Instead of becoming something…you become two opposites, good and bad, beautiful and ugly and find union in between polarities.
Yoga is union. A state of mind.
Can we do everything consciously….or at least try? To be present in every situation… in everything we do… and to do it with total involvement…to be present…here now…the only moment there is.
Cum este pentru tine sauna in raport cu yoga? nu o sa ating suibecte legate de practica bikram sau hot-yoga ci doar despre tipurile mai populare de saune si posibile tangente cu practici, tehnici sau exercitii din yoga.
Sauna
nu este altceva decat un spatiu in care conditile atmosferice sunt usor schimbate, amintind in special de temperatura, umiditate (indirect si presiune) si alte componente legate de compozitia chimica a aerului (aroma-terapie – prin plante {fum}, ceaiuri, uleiuri esentiale – dar si saruri).
Contactul exterior realizandu-se in principiu la suprafata pielei
(organul de simt tactil), cu expunere insa si spre unghii, ochi (organul de simt vizual) – temperatura si alte elemente avand capacitatea de a fi absorbite treptat (dar diferite) de fiecare individ la nivelul tuturor tesuturilor si organelor.

Sauna – cand, cum, cat?
Sunt observat deseori intrat la sauna cateva minute inainte de clasa de yoga, poate cateva minute si dupa practica yoga. Acum acasa nu am sauna ca sa pot vorbi despre o interactiunea cu practica mea personala, asa ca o sa descriu putin din cele publice.
Inainte clasei de Yoga
Dimineata
sunt multe carti care recomanda un dus rece inainte practii de dimineata, sau udarea cu un burete si apa rece a intregii suprafete a corpului, atat pentru efectul asupra sistemului nervos cat si asupra porilor pielii. Respectiv nu doar ceea ce se intampla in sauna e important ci si comportamentul de dupa, daca ies afara sa interactionez cu aerul rece, sau daca ultimul dus este unul rece.
Seara
prin interactiunea cu un mediu care stimuleaza la controlul miscarilor, senzorialului, gandurolor pe deoparte reusesti sa stabilezi o liniste a fluctuatilor inainte de clasa, iar o mica incalzire a incheieturilor si muschilor poate destine din tensiunile instalate peste zi..
Dupa clasa de Yoga
Vorbim despre faptul ca practica asana poate sa genereze un foc interior, inclusiv sa ridice temperatura interna a corpului, facand sensibile organele la orice schimbare brusca de temperatura – motiv pentru care consumul de apa ulterior practicii se face minim dupa 15min (unele carti recomandand chair si 1h) sau daca este neaparat nevoie de o hidratare atunci sa se tina fiecare inghititura in caviatea bucala pana ajunge la temperatura corpului (alte persoane stabilind o intentie pentru fiecare inghititura sau intonand un intern AUM), de asemenea nici mancatul dupa ora de yoga nu este recomandat, nici dusul imediat (ca sa nu mai vorbim de timp, unele carti amintesc ca sudoarea dupa practica yoga trebuie sa fie partial reabsorbita in corp si apoi urmeaza curatarea lui. Bun deci corpul se incalzeste in interior mai mult decat in exterior dupa o practica asana si atunci prin sauna am putea aduce corpul la aceiasi temperatura, expunandu-l mai putin la ce putea aduce interactiunea cu aceste diferente.
Apoi mai putem adauga si din beneficile sau provocarile amintite mai sus.
cand fac apel la cuvantul batran, nu ma gandesc la varsta cat ma gandesc la intelepciune..
deseori auzim cuvintelea astea “ca bantranii”.. dar oare la ce se refera aceasta asociere? In confortul unei saune uscate, in care temperatura si linistea domnesc, te mai intalnesti cu tot felul de discutii, experiente.. si daca nu.. cineva va face apel ca facem si noi “ca batranii”..
oare avem nevoie de o viata ca sa reusim sa apreciem ceea ce vad “batranii”?
Sanatatea
atat individuala cat si a apropiatilor.. De cate ori ne-au dus “batranii” la mare cand eram mici, la bai cu namol, la tot felul de terapii? Sau ne-au oferit mai degraba un dulce gatit de ei decat din magazine? Odihna de miaza-zi, plimbarile prin natura, …
Comunitatea
spre exemplu cea familiala.. chemandu-ne atat pe noi cat si pe verisorii nostri, pe apropiatii nostri sa petrecem cat mai mult timp impreuna, unind relatile de sange cu experiente, cu emotii.
Simturile
cum ar fi cultivarea celor senzoriale spre o latura mai artistica.. Ca era vorba de a invata poezii sau cantecele pentru ei, sau ne duceau ei la teatrul cu papusi sau concerte mai complexe. In unele cazuri poate fiind cei care patronau vreo latura artistica sustinant financiar lectile, pregatirile sau instrumentele necesare.. sau poate doar gateam una alta cu ei impreuna..
Si bineinteles ar mai fi si altele, precum munca, disciplina, pastrarea unor traditii, lucruri pe care care in perioada de crestere le consideram destul de neinteresante sau inapoiate..
Hai sa ascultam mai mult de la cei care pasesc pe un drum inaintea noastra, ca sunt parintii, bunicii sau prietenii nostri.. utilizand energia doar pentru a repeta greseli nu e cel mai intelept lucru..
Batranii, inteleptii, sunt cei care dupa ce-si recunosc limitarile gasesc cea mai eficienta forma de a experimenta si continua viata.
Dharana
inseamna concentrarea gandului intr-un singur punct. Intelegerea universului si a legilor care-l guverneaza. Eliberandu-ne de limitari, cunoscand si dominand acestea, reusim sa regasim energiile cu care sa pasim pe drumuri mai sanatoase..

cu cat ceva este mai popular cu atat ajunge sa fie mai necunoscut, spre exemplu multi cunoastem informatii despre anumiti artisti, insa fac acestea parte din viata lor sau sunt doar o masca comunicata de agentii si intrumentele in miscare ce intretin imaginea lor? E important mai ales in yoga sa ne intrebam de unde vine sursa informatilor, inainte sa fim dispusi sa le impartasim mai departe.. pentru ca ceea ce poate observa mai nou este o preluare de articole in intregime decat re-iterearea aceleiasi teme din surse sau persoane diferite..
Yoga pe cat este de populara pe atat este de necuoscuta.. la fel a ajuns si cuvantul Meditatie.
in acest caz face sens inainte de orice sa amintim putin despre originea si istoria cuvantului Meditatie.
Una dintre cartile cele mai vechi care ne introduce conceptul de meditatie este Bhagavad-Gita, ce isi dedica intregul capitol 6 pe acest subiect (Dhyana), iar cel mai cunoscut pasaj este probabil legat de versul 13:
samam = straight | kaaya = trunk | shiraha = head | greevam = neck | dhaarayan = holding | achalam = firm | sthiraha = steady | samprekshya = observing | naasikaagram = point of the nose | svam = your | dishaha = all directions | cha = and | anavalokayan = not looking
Pastreaza corpul, capul si gatul drepte erecte (drepte vertical), nemiscate si stabile – cu “privirea” fixata observand “varful nasului”, fara a te uita in jur.
Ce alte indicatii suna cunoscute cu prima parte a acestui vers? Ce este o postura stabila, ferma si confortabila altceva decat asana? Cum aminteam si in alte momente, traducerea acceptata initial a cuvantului asana a fost postura meditativa, drept confirmare cand vorbim in mod traditional despre asana amintim ca 60% din posturi sunt meditative (sau pro-meditative), 20% relaxante, 10% echilibru si 10% altele.
mai este metionata meditatia si in cantarile vedice, de unde amintim si de Meditatia Vedica (Vedic Meditation) care este considerata o practica a carei spiritualitate nu implica detasarea de societate, sau vreo alta forma monastica ci a fost dezvoltata acum aprox. 5000 ani pentru un acces larg, persoanelor intretinatoare de casa (respectiv celora ce sustinea familia, casa si nu puteau sa se dedice exclusiv vreunui drum spiritual).
Meditatia vedica este o tehnica simpla, se practica pentru 20 de minute atat dimineata cat si seara in timp ce se sta confortabil cu spatele sprijinit (drept) si ochii inchisi.
vreau doar sa subliniez si aici nu doar actiunea – sta confortabil cu spatele sprijinit (drept) – respectiv o ajustare, o supported-asana cat si prezenta ochilor inchisi care impreuna cu momentele zilei face trimitere catre oportunitati in care pratyahara (controlul simturilor) se poate implini natural.
daca ne uitam la un alt text, Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, unde sunt prezentate 112 tehnici de meditatie si auto-centrare vom gasi de asemenea mentiuni de genu:
“Seated on a soft seat, by means of one buttock, with the hands and legs relaxed, at this time the mind becomes full of transcendence.”
“Sitting in a correct postureand curving the arms and hands into a circle, fix the gaze inside this space. The mind becomes peaceful by this laya.”
“While sitting or lying down, one should think of one’s own body as being supportless (suspended in space). Then, in a moment (the samskaras or thought constructs) of the mind being reduced, it ceases to be a reservoir (of old mental dispositions).”
este amintita insa si o urmatoarea tehnica: “O Goddess, as a result of slowly swinging or rocking the body, one attains a tranquil state of mind and floats into the
stream of divine consciousness.” – pe care o pot mai degraba include in tehnici de auto-centrare, dar daca cineva vrea sa o vada meditativa subliniez ca acest vers vine in continuarea unora care vorbesc de o postura de baza in sezut, de unde si libertatea de miscare este mica – clatinand usor corpul.
Ce este meditatia?
in yoga meditatia este un fruct.. este o manifestare ce apartine anatar-yoga (sa zicem partilor interioare yoga), o forma de concentrare, de prezenta fara obiect – dar care isi poate avea ca pornire o concentrare pe vreun obiect. Ca sa fie posibila concentrarea / contemplarea pe vreun obiect se intelege controlarea singurului simt intern, sau singurul navigator intern (gandul) ce necesita capacitatea de a controla restul simtilor (pratyahara), controlul energiei vitale (pranayama), controlul sau stabilitatea intr-o postura confortabila si stabila (asana) s.a.m.d.
sunt insa ramuri care vorbesc despre practicarea meditatiei, nu neaparat vazand-o altfel decat un fruct, insa focalizandu-se mai mult pe ceea ce o precede lasa o zona confuza de a identifica procesele, actiunea cu insasi rezultatul.
actiunile care preced meditatia, indiferent de sursa se impart in doua categorii:
concentratie (focailizarea sau dirijarea antentiei, prezentei spre ceva) sau
contemplatie (implicarea unor forme de imaginatie, vizualizari, evocatii, memorie)
insa atentie, avand in vedere dorinta aprinsa a unor persoane de a obtine meditatia, implicarea contemplatiei este vazuta destul de periculoasa (repet, poate diferi de la persoana la alta) pentru momentele in care totul se poate transforma in proiectii si false perceptii.
Din respect pentru intelegerea personala asupra meditatiei cat si pentru siguranta persoanelor cu care interactionez am fost mereu limitat in cuvinte in directia meditatiei si mai mult decat limitat in coordonarea unor tehnici ce ar putea provoca momente spontane de meditatie in grup. Am vorbit insa despre Drumul spre Meditatie, din care am sa re-amintesc pe scurt in cele ce urmeaza.
Erau mai multe intrebari expuse la acea conferinta, spre ex: De ce meditam? Cine poate sa mediteze? Cum meditam? Durata meditatiei? insa aici voi reaminti doar doar:
Ce este rugaciunea?
indiferent de religie sau drum spiritual consensul conceptual asupra descrierii rugaciunii este o forma de comunicare cu Divinitatea.
Cand vorbim de Yoga (uniune) si meditatie.. reducem pragul simbolistic al comunicarii.. lasand nu doar observabila ci constientizand prezenta Divinitatii in noi, fiind Una si Aceiasi. Oricat de scurt este momentul, aceasta este experienta indiscutabila dupa care alearga la un mai mult, mai des pana cand ajunge continua (Samadhi).
Respectiv rugaciunea ramane cel mult o intentie pentru meditatie. Sau daca rugaciunea ar fi suficienta nu s-ar retrage atati indivizi monastici sau nu in pesteri sau locuri in care sa se intalneasca cu Divinitatea, sau sa lase Diviniteatea sa se intalneasca cu ei.

“But, for the one who is moderate in eating, recreation, working, sleeping, and waking, This yoga destroys sorrow.”

avand in vedere originea termenului meditatie cat si mentiunile descrie in legatura cu pregatirea sau practicarea acesteia, ca vorbim de yoga, vipassana, meditatia vedica sau alte forme de meditatie dezvoltate din acestea – este foarte greu petru cineva sa aiba o meditatie in miscare, in cel mai bun caz acesta este intr-o continua si neintrerupta meditatie..
altfel zis orice forma de concentrare, contemplatie sau focalizare care presupune un corp in miscare nu duce sau nu este meditatie decat daca a pre-existat si continuat inaintea ei..
Daca meditatia presupune intr-un final pastrarea unei stari de concentrare, prezenta si in lipsa obiectului initial, aceasta s-ar putea traduce prin reducerea din ce in ce mai mare pana la totala a oscilatilor mintii.. respectiv fructul meditatiei e yoga.

Meditation is about being still.
In my process of yoga, if i am something, i feel i have been attracted to a better understanding of God, i just don’t belong to any particular belief system. Just because they are all misleading-misunderstood by the masses and manipulated information, but they all have some good in them.
So yogis are just stubborn, they just chose not to have faith, but rather to experience God.
All yoga is doing is preparing you to be still. Because in this haste of always doing something, the hardest thing for you is just to sit, quietly.
Using the five senses we have developed tremendous abilities and even if we didn’t reach their limitations, we feel limited. Because we are trying to thirst a hunger for infinity, with finite steps. This body has an expiration date and taking one step at a time, has hardly brought us to the moon, but we want to touch the other side of the cosmos.
Using the practices in yoga, we learn how to develop new abilities. Breaking this boundary that we can manipulate only the exterior, developing a sense that has to do with the interior.
If you can find peace and joy and love and ecstasy, within yourself, not tied to any exterior source,Is it important what is happening outside of you? Can you still be touched and damaged from the situations outside of you? Out of your reach? Out of your control?
Once your strength is coming from the inside, there will be nothing outside of you that can unbalance you.
The only belief that is always making you to perform any action, to move all the time, to always do something is the belief that happiness comes only from the matter you gather, from the people outside, from whatever tv is propagating, love can only come from someone/something else never from you. You are never self-sufficient.
We should shift this idea. That you are not complete, that everything you need is somewhere “out there” and not somewhere inside of you.
These teachers that have walked the path of earth, Buddha’s and Jesus and Mohamed’s and Gods and mystics are just here to put us back on the right path.
Whenever we are lost, hope in the form of a teacher is always there for us, so we can remember who we really are and what we can do, and there is no limitation once you realize this.
intr-o nota personala recunosc ca nu-mi plac titlurile dramatice, poate pentru ca o vad ca si o atitudine de a atrage incontrolabil, subiectiv si nu foarte elevat atentia.. Riscul este asumarea acelor ferestre (procent) din posibilitati care ar produce un rezultat inafara celor urmarite sau cunoscute.
scurta introducere
cand ceva devine mai popular decat cunoscut creste tendinta de a pleca urechile la toate opinile acestor influencers decat de a cauta adevarul. Yoga a trecut prin multe valuri de popularitate incat si cartile traditionale te indruma sa nu crezi nimic pana nu confirmi rezultatul prin propria ta experienta.
Yoga
yoga este o practica personala – prea multe sesiuni de yoga la toti teacherii si toate cluburile e asemenea pelegrinajelor in prea multe biserici. S-ar putea deseori sa nu te ajute mai cu nimic, dimpotriva sa-ti impietreasca mintea ca si un scut in jului egoului. Pentru ca sa nu cada in maini / minti gresite persoanele dedicate unei vieti spirituale isi alegeau cu strictete ai ucenici care sa nu le altereze, deterioreze mesajul, tehnicile, efectele; iar daca nu-i gaseau pe acei ucenici, preferau sa nu impartaseasca nimic.
Riscurile practicarii
nimic nu este simplu, nimic nu este complicat, este doar complex, interpenetrand holistic. La putin ani dupa ce au ajuns asanele in U.S. chiar daca perceptia intiala a fost de fitness grupuri din ce in ce mai bulversate de practicanti au inceput sa viziteze India pentru raspunsuri. Unii chiar revoltati de schimbari au inceput sa-si certe chiar “sursele” pentru lipsa de informare si responsabilitate.
Fara tehnica
la inceput a existat suficienta atentie si curiozitate incat sa nu existe deviatii semnificative, astfel ca toate propunerile care circulau in numele de yoga isi pastrau rezultatele, efectele. Toate tehnicile nu erau doar respectate ci era un continuu proces de extractie, de redescoperire, de reconstruire a acestora. O munca continua de studiere a textelor sanscrite, de interpolare a informatilor, de experimentare si confirmare a acestora.
Yoga – riscurile practicarii
nu o sa-ti pierzi sufletul practicand yoga, nici nu o sa ajungi in Iad, precum nici nu o sa discut despre aceste aspecte in ceea ce urmeaza, cat voi incerca sa metionez ceva semnificativ din anumite capitole din yoga si unele posibile riscuri acolo. Voi lua initial unele trepte descrie de Pantajali in sistemul propus – ahtanga yog – iar apoi poate voi atinge usor si alte drumuri in Yoga.
Yama si Niyama
desi aceste control-observabile aspecte din yoga in momentul implinirii unora dintre ele se amintesc mai mult beneficile – ca un semn al confirmarii, prezentei – ne este amintit ca uneori viata profesionala poate fi impotriva implinirii acestora. Respectiv, implinirea lor ar putea afecta locul de munca. Sa ne amintitm de “lunga” discutie pe care a avut-o Krishna cu Arjuna pe campu de lupta si nu doar de job-uri contemporane in care e greu sa te manifesti complet non-violent, mereu pe drumul adevarului, cu o atudine ne-agonisitoare, ne-pofticioasa, mereu implinita… etc. Intr-un final se poate instala o distonanta cognitiva, asa ca este ori job-ul ori yama si niyama, ori recuperarea drepturilor regale ori pierderea luptei (si misiunii spiriutale).
Asana
fara aplicarea cel putin partiala a conceptelor din yama si niyama, Asana e asematore cu aruncatul semintelor (practicii) pe pamant in anotimpuri neprielnice.

In ce masura practicarea incorecta a asanelor poate crea mai mult rau decat bine?
asana:
Incep prin a aminti ca asana inseamna postura meditativa. Desi multi prefera reducerea traducerii la poastura sau asezatura, alte sinonime alte cuvantului reconfirma conceptul lui Patanjali in care asana este o postura confortabila si stabila, usor de mentinut. Minimalizarea cuvantului la termenul de postura ma inspira insa sa va fac urmatoarea paranteza: daca noi ne-am intalni acum 5000 de ani pe strada si eu as avea un caine si m-ai intreba ce e asta si eu ti-as zice yorkshire terrier, avand in vedere ca tu n-ai vazut vreun caine pana acum.. ce sens ar avea sa-ti descriu tipurile de terrieri? Pentru inceput daca intelegi ca e caine poate fi de ajuns 🙂 In B.G. VI se vorbeste in special despre meditatie iar cand este amintita postura cuvintele folosite sunt legate de pastrarea coloanei vertebrale perpenticulara cu solul.
In textele traditionale asanale sunt impartite in 60% meditative sau pro-meditative (care ajuta la exprimarea posturilor meditative) 20% relaxare, 10% echilibru si 10% altele.
incorect:
asana nu reprezinta o postura finala ci drumul spre acea postura este la fel sau mai semnificativ. Aspecte al practicarii incorecte a asanelor este legat de alinierea posturala in cele 3 planuri impreuna cu neintelegerea distributiei de greutate, amestecate cu lipsa cunostintelor bio-mecanice gen libertate de expresite articulara, compresia oaselor etc. pot duce intradevar la accidente serioase. Deseori in yoga amintim ca intr-o postura, atat corpul cat si mintea si respiratia trebuie sa fie prezente in acelas punct, altfel dam nastere unor factori de stress nociv, experimentand dureri, etc. As mai aminti si de alte aspecte asupra modelelor in care lucreaza sistemul muscular, nervos, conjuctiv, endocrin, etc. dar nu sa deschid toate cutiile Pandorei. Ideea e ca spatiu de a gresi, de a practica ceva incorect este – iar cartile desi pot ajuta nu cuprind toate detalile, situatie pentru care se recomanda invatarea prin impartasirea experientei (clase / cursuri de yoga); pentru a avea toate simturile prezente in momentul exprimarii unei posturi, nu doar vazul.

daca prin incorect am colecta mai mult elementele precizate mai sus atunci am vorbi cu o extensie mai larga spre accidente, dar.. “sa precizam putin mai clar acest aspect [..]” a continuat sa ma intrebe aceasta doamna, pe care am intrerupt-o cu urmatoarea idee: parcursul spre implinirea unei asana nu reprezinta o practicare incorecta.
Daca intelegi in ce directie trebuie sa pasesti sa te intalnesti cu o asana, tot ceea ce intampla si pana atunci este o exprimare de beneficii. Asana nefiind insasi exprimarea finala a unei posturi, la randul ei si ea se poate trasforma intr-o Mudra.
continui prin iterarea intrebarii re-proposa de aceiasi doamna:
daca nu stiu cum e pozitia corecta si eu fac o asana [..] dar nu stiu niciodata [..] dar in fiecare zi faci de multe ori [..] intr-un fel progresezi ca ceva devine mai elastic [..] dar daca nu este orientata spre acea postura [..] e oarecum o practica inutila [..] care-i rostul?
posti sa faci un lucru 20 de ani si sa nu se intample nimic..
Asana vrea sa-ti readuca libertatea expresiei de miscare cu care te-ai nascut. Exagererea prin practicarea repetata intr-o directie gresita poate sa-ti creeze libertati unde nu este nevoie, in locuri in care constrangerile iti protejeaza corpul.
Insa ceva ce face cu adevarat diferenta este in atitudinea cu care facem aceste posturi.
Inceputurile mele in yoga au pornit ca participant la clase de pilates iar apoi la clase de yoga fara sa inteleg clar o diferenta intre ele, decat sa recunosc ca yoga era sursa sau o sursa de inspiratie pentru pilates. Intr-un final, dedicatia mea m-a facut sa caut pe internet tot felul de filmulete sa ma plictisesc uneori la ore, sa cer mai mult.. si intr-un final sa ajung la un workshop pe yoga, apoi au fost trainingurile in India… insa tot ce am dorit a fost sa fiu o resursa in yoga, sa cunosc atat de adanc incat sa pot sa impartasesc (celora care s-ar fi regasit la fel de infometati ca si mine).
Svadhyaya – Self-Study – aceasta este atitudinea cu care se intra in Yoga, cu care se practica totul, inclusiv asanele (face parte din Niyama).
Exista intradevar cursuri si training-uri insa esenta este sa te transformi in profesor pentru tine insuti cu ajutorul observatiei. Sunt posturi pe care le-as putea gasi in 100 de resurse (carti, site-uri, etc) spre exemplu: cobra – si experienta mea, tehnica sau detalile pe care le-am inteles sa nu se gaseasca in nici 10%. Asta un inseamna ca postura nu este cunoscuta si de altii ci mai mult ca resursele mai mult sau mai putin constient nu vor oferi decat o mica orientare pe drumul pe care o postura il propune. Altfel ne-am regasi la fel ca si Iyengar sa scriem cate vreo carte pentru fiecare.
Deci cu o intentie corespunzatoare inclusiv inceputuri gresite pot duce pe dumuri pline de lumina. Pe de alta parte, la fel de dezastruoasa este repetarea unei greseli.

Iar apoi mai este si ideea de mai jos la care nu merita sa mai comentez:
Pranayama
aici e mai simplu de povestit, riscurile sunt atat de mari incat toate cartile traditionale in momentul cand iti descriu tehnicile sublineaza necesitatea de a invata aceste tehnici de la un guru sau, zic eu – avand in vedere complexitatea termenului, ca sensul aceste mentiuni face trimitere catre o persoana practicant devotata a acestor tehnici. In respect cu aceste informatii, cele mai multe emotii le-am avut cand am sustinut un workshop exclusiv pe praayama – nu doream sa ajunga slide-urile cu informatii mai departe de cei prezenti, desi imi place sa impartasesc, aici imitarea, incercarea unora din ele le consider suficient de periculoase.
Din experienta personala am inteles ce inseamna sa asculti respiratile, tehnicile celorlalti, sa empatizezi si sa intelegi unde si ce se intampla cu corpul lor, unde se plimba si cum ajunge sa se manifeste respiratia si prana.
Pranayama insa necesita pe langa Yama si Niyama pastrarea unei Asana corespunzatoare (meditative – coloana vertebrata perpenticulara cu solul), cu o extensie a sustinerii acesteia pentru o unitate maximala de 3 ore. Respetiv prima contraindicatie este practicarea tehnicilor peste o durata de 3 ore consecutive, iar avand in vedere ca recomandarea momentelor de practica este dimineata, miaza-zi, amurg si miaza-noapte.. presupun ca si indicatia e de pauza intre practici de minim 3 ore.
Cand corpul nu are consolidata Asana pentru a exprima riscurile practicarii ne sunt oferite urmatoarele metafore. Corpul poate fi in 3 forme posibile:
desert – iar cand vantul pranic merge deasupra acestuia ridica tot nisipul in aer, schimband nu doar forma (corpului) cat si intoxicand vantul (energia)
munte – cand ai o pozitie consolidata in asana si nici un factor extern nu te poate deranja (pratyahara)
ocean – cand prana curge asemenea raurilor intr-un ocean, linistit, modeland fiecare sursa – respectiv cand poti linisti respiratia celorlanti, momentul in care reda si invata din experientele tale in pranayama
O dimensiune a extensiei pranice se manifesta ca o atmosfera in jurul nostru. Daca atmosfera Pamantului cand curentii de aer se misca regulat, uniform, da nastere la aceasa explozie de viata si anotimpuri.. la fel dezechilibere se pot dezlanui in catastrofe, uragane, tornade etc. O practica incorecta de pranayama poate introduce aceste efecte.
Pratyahara
doar cateva mentiuni.. pratyahara inseamna controlul simturilor si nu este un sinonim cu brahmacharya desi au aspecte interpenetrante. Sunt tot felul de persoane care incearca sa-si anihileze unul sau mai multe din aceste simturi in speranta ca odata redus din frontul senzorial capitolul, treapta e mai usor de trecut.
Unul din cele mai importante organe de simti de controlat este ochiul. El introduce cele mai multe iluzii in corp si deseori se fac mentiuni ca nu e suficient sa fi vazut ceva pentru a accepta ca s-a intamplat, sau ca este real.
Kriya
chiar daca kriya vorbeste despre purificare corpului nerespectarea indicatilor din aceasta categorie de tehnici poate fi nesanatoasa. Imaginati-va sa introduce-ti in nas apa nefiarta, nepurificata care odata blocata la nivelul sinusurilor poate trezi infectii.
Mantra
mai putin cunoscut este faptul efectul mantrelor vedice depide de o intonare corecta a acestora, altfel ele pot duce chiar la imbolnaviri / dezechilibre energetice. In respect cu aceste mantre vedice, sunt scoli care au incetat in a mai le mai preda in TTC (cursuri). Spre exemplu exista si o conceptie impartasita ca Gayatri un trebuie intonata de sexul feminin.
alte drumuri Yoga inafara de Raja Yoga / Hatha Yoga, respectiv Jnana, Karma, Bhakti isi au de asemenea tehnicile si riscurile lor insa nu o sa ma mai extind aici, acum despre ele.
Fara Tehnica
am primit insa un comentariu dragut la urmatorul video si am sa scriu totusi cateva cuvinte despre tehnica:
am sa despart din comentul care m-a inspirat: “yoga is enlightenment. new energy has evolved. we are allowed to change with it and hence bring yoga to our hearts with greater ease. as long as we stay passionate about consciousness/enlightenment there is no india and there is no america. there is pure joy and allowing it to happen through movement. this is what i feel in my heart.”

atat combinatia “new energy” cat si “energy has evolved” sunt de fapt niste antonime plonasmatice.. nici in spiritualitate (Prana, Qi sau Duhul Sfant) n-au fost vazut vreodata muabile dapoi noi.. precum si in alte stiinte cand vorbim de energie ceea ce se schimba este sursa si in functie de asta putem avea unitati diferite de masurare, in plus mai amintim un principiu cel de conservare a energiei.

oare ne referim la faptul ca mai avem 63 de ani si iesim din dwapara yuga? Respectiv o sa ne intalnim cu o exprimare mai inalta a tuturor organizemlor vii.

as intelege ca directia era defensiva fata de yoga flow.. un tip de constructie a claseler mai “vestica” (amintint ca ashtanga a fost indirect tot pentru “vestic” conceputa) care sper ca unul din obiectivele sincere este, prin complexitatea miscarilor care o propune, adunarea atentiei in corp – reducerea acestor monkey jumps. Well.. chiar daca si personal sustin clase cu o propunere asemanatoare, ele nu reprezinta o forma mai intalta, mai avansata, mai evoluata de yoga – nici macar noua. Nu reprezinta o metoda de a calma mintea ci de a o pacali pentru o durata de timp, la fel de usor si chiar mai eficient am putea sa instalam clopotei / clopote sau sa le cerem sa vina cu ele la ore si sa le penduleze 60 de minute.
avem de vreo 150 de ani aceasta metoda si nu avem nici un contemporan mai luminat care sa sustina ca e o metodata de “citta vritti nirodha”. Nu zic sa o indepartam ci doar sa ne indreptam atentia si spre alte capitole sau tehnici care ne lipsesc.
in videoclip apare la un moment dat:
“Technique do the benefits. Wrong technique [..] wrong benefits. No benefits”
ca e vorba de yoga, inot, arte martiale sau chiar aerobic – clasele nu se numesc show-off, work out ci cursuri, teaching. Instructorul impartasing in cele 3 forme de comunicare: informationala, motivationala si coaching. Pana si clasele care sunt mai fara tehnica intra in categoria de tehnica numita “free style” unde exista libertatea de a alterna intre posturi, pasi sau stiluri atent construite. Iar unde nu este tehnica, nu este teaching, nu este drum, discutabil daca exista vreun un self-discovery si atunci de unde benefits?
Riscul pe care il regasesc in prea mult dinamism este lipsa cunoasterii bazelor, asane si alte tehnici ne-executate corect, unde repetitia acestora poate duce in mai grave directii. Nici in aerobic nu se trece la un alt pas pana cel initial nu a fost invatat de 80% din participanti, nu se trece nici macar la variatia lui. Sa nu mai vorbim de respiratii si de activarea exclusiva simpatica a sistemului nervos autonom.
Yoga este o tehnica de a experimenta organismul uman la cel mai inalt potential.
even i said this so many times, here again, about the stress..
There are two types of stress: the Conscious and the Unconscious, the Healthy or the Unhealthy way of experiencing the stress.
I was few days ago in a mystical presence (he likes to says).. on the word stress there was a bit of avoiding in my perspective and because i repeat myself often with these words.. maybe now is a good moment to have them written..
In few words, stress can be beneficial if we want to.. or stress is beneficial as long as we can control the duration, the intensity and other attributes of it.
Just today we re-emphasized that our bones needs some amount of stress in order to stimulate growth and density. So if you set yourself for a walk, a conscious run, jogging.. the stress on the circulatory system, breathing, ambulatory (mussels and bones), digestive and hormonal.. all will get some benefits or gain a level of balance.
But a bit more of this run, walk.. can easily transform into a toxic or traumatic experience of stress. Some times, hearing the ones we love.. is joyful.. other times consuming.
As in yoga we talk about a sutra saying that “each pleasure culminates in pain”.
When you are doing asana or any yogic technique it is required that you are present into your body, conscious, focused. Being there with a correct attitude is yoga and will bring you the benefits.. but practicing any yogic technique.. with the mind “gone to shopping” is dangerous.
Like sometimes your doing one asana and instead of observing more into yourself, you dream away – waiting maybe for the teacher to ask for a new posture – as soon as you get back to your body, you feel there is some pain, some discomfort and as more as you acknowledge its presence you want to get from the posture. Because asana might give you the opportunity to know and quiet your body.. but instead of listening to it and learn how to make it peaceful you run (with your mind outside).. then when you get back you wonder “where from the crazy mob came?” – that’s the unhealthy stress.
You are the one experiencing this… You are the one able to control this.
There is a switch at your reach to transform every experience into a joyful one.. or you can stop it. For both there is Yoga, as the mean or the path to process emotions and pain, to mukti, to liberation.
Stress is always there for you, in you.. the first step to control it, to transform it.. is to be conscious about it, to realize that it is.. and then act upon it.
Let’s take the moment of your birth, the moment you get out.. you will experience gravity (asana), then breath (pranayama).. then many sensory excitements (pratyahara), emotions, thoughts (dharana, dhyana).. some forces were always there with you.. understand and ride them.. fighting them is exhausting and is not efficient living.. ignoring them is postponing and enduring.

You wake up in the morning realizing that you haven’t been doing any cardio in the last weeks. So you plan to participate in an indoor cycling to manage your breath and your limits in your heartbeats.
You hydrate . Keep an empty stomach so your energy stays intact. Prepare all the equipment and warm clothes for the winter that’s outside. By the time you get to the bus station yourealize you’ll probably be late 5 min, miss one bus and then realize that is also Sunday and the next bust is in another 10 min.
Waiting for 10 min, no sign and then you look at the clock and the class already started 🙂 So getting there, you ll already miss half of the class.
Without any remorse or swearing, you just enjoy a cold air winter, analyzing how your body feels and it is so amazing. You fell how your body is benefiting from all the yoga during last week and you decide you ll return back home start cooking something and next time you ll be more prepared.
No hard feelings, just a beautiful walk.
Are you able to enjoy life, even if it doesn’t work your way?
Can you turn one “Bad” situation into another one which is great?
Can you just be present, instead of imagining a future where you ll probably be happy?
Can you focus your mind for a few minutes being here, rather than get lost into your imagination?
We seldom create more turmoil within ourselves by our thought process than the exterior factors.
This just brings in my head some lines in my Guru talking about Alexander the Great.
“For Alexander the Great, conquering half of the world, life did not settle. Yes? Alexander, I don’t know why they call him “Great”. Probably they forgot his third name! Alexander the Great Idiot; they forgot that.
Why am I saying this is, what did Alexander do in his life?
At the age of sixteen he started fighting and went about killing people, unknown people, people who did not know who he was.
What was his purpose in life? He went on slaughtered thousands and thousands of people. Sixteen years of non-stop fighting he did. At the age of 32 he died a miserable death. He was so miserable because the other half of the world was yet not conquered.
Let’s say this microphone is your property. Between you and me some dispute has arisen about this property. If we quarrel for five minutes, if you have little sense, you will feel “Let this property go. Let me be free from this nonsense first.” If you have some sense!
For sixteen years if a man has to go on fighting non-stop for something that is not even his, he must be absolutely insane; but this is the kind of people that you have made “Great”
What is his contribution to human life?
Now all your focus is in this way because he had the mad ambition of conquering the whole world, so everybody is an Alexander the Great, but not potent enough. They don’t have the same level of potency. They are impotent Alexanders; but everybody is an Alexander, wanting to conquer something all the time.
As long as this is your consciousness, as long this is the basis of the action you perform in the world, the world cannot be beautiful.
If Alexanders exist here, if your only intention is to conquer everybody in some way, conflict will be the way. This world will always be in conflict. Pain and suffering will be the way of the world.”
The first and most fundamental responsibility for a human being is to become a joyous human being; because no matter what are you doing, it doesn’t matter what are you pursuing in your life, whatever is business, money, power, education, service or whatever else you wish to do, you are doing it because something inside you know that this will bring you happiness.
