Hatha Yoga Sun Saluations

In the traditional Hatha Yoga, displayed also in the “orange book”, the sequence of the sun salutation is build up by these asanas:
1. Pranamasana (prayer pose)
2. Hasta Utthanasana (raised arms pose)
3. Padahastasana (hand to foot pose)
4. Ashwa Sanchalanasana (equestrian pose)
5. Parvartasana (mountain pose)
6. Ashtanga Namaskar (salute with 8 parts or points)
7. Bhujangasana (cobra pose)
8. Parvartasana (5.)
9. Ashwa Sanchalanasana (4. same leg back)
10. Padahastasana (3.)
11. Hasta Utthanasana (2.)
12. Pranamasana (1.)

Kriya Asana Pranayama are the base for higher yoga practices.. whatever else is doing is gymnastic.
