These are the sheets from Jordan Moniz which were distributed during his Yin Yoga Workshop on the 300hr TTC @ RYP 2014 (please ignore my comments on them 😛 ) :
with Kim Luongs comments:
on a personal journey, before this workshop, the yin classes I shared had some of this poses introduced:
- Shavasana – warm up
- Shavasana – butterfly
- Happy baby
- Shukasana
- Deer
- Bananasana
- Fish
- Dragonfly / Straddle
- Frog
- Sphinx
- Anahatasana / Childpose
- Pigeon
- Camel
- Dragons
- Squat
- Dangling
- Cowface
- Plow / Snail
- Goddes pose / Shavasana
this chould be a 75min class or more, some of the poses contain a right and left expression of the body..
recently I am combining all the experiences including even some more specific learned from a shiatsu “wake up the body” part before its workshop and my last Yin Class started like this:
- Fire Breathing – this would be a kapal bhati from standing, with knees bend a little, tail bone tilted for a straight back – this performed without any interruptions for 2 mins
- Shaking Roots – short and fast muscle contractions on all the body, especially on the legs, shaking the body rapidly and freely up and down
- Dandling
- Dragon(s)
- Prone Focus:
- Arm + Sholder
- Leg 90′ aside the body – crocodile
- swan
- Supine Focus:
- ball
- happy baby
- foot togheter – like bound angle on the back
- (…)
- Side
- bananasana
- (…)
